Terms, in plain English.

The legal entity behind The Other Side is Buy Side Recruitment Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09305423, VAT number GB221247644). Our registered office is 75 Chessfield Park, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, HP6 6RX. Our point of contact for the service is Michael Muir (michael.muir@buysiderec.com).

We produce a CV Intelligence Report: a single document that includes a written analysis of your CV, a section-by-section rewrite with reasoning, a career architecture summary, a LinkedIn profile rewrite, and two CVs (a comprehensive master version and a targeted version positioned for a specific role type).

Reports are produced manually by Michael Muir using Anthropic’s Claude as an AI drafting tool. Michael reviews and signs off every report before delivery. By placing an order you consent to your CV and intake context being processed by AI as part of this drafting process; full detail of how that works, what the AI provider does and does not do with your data, and how to delete your data is in our Privacy Policy.

The price is £99, inclusive of any applicable VAT. Reports are delivered within 24 hours of payment confirmation, except where weekends or UK bank holidays apply.

This is the part that matters for both of us, so please read it.

The Other Side is not an employment agency or employment business as defined in the Employment Agencies Act 1973 or the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. We do not undertake to find you work, introduce you to employers, or represent you for vacancies.

Buy Side Recruitment Limited (the legal entity behind The Other Side) does separately operate an executive search business under the Buy Side Recruitment name. The two services are kept operationally and commercially separate:

• Purchasing a CV Intelligence Report from The Other Side does not entitle you to be considered for, introduced to, or placed in any role by Buy Side Recruitment.
• Buy Side Recruitment will not condition or prioritise its consideration of any candidate on whether they have purchased a CV Intelligence Report.
• The £99 fee is for the report and CV documents only. It is not a fee for work-finding services.

This separation is deliberate. UK law restricts work-finding agencies from charging job-seekers fees for finding them work. The Other Side is a career advisory product, not a recruitment service, and is priced and operated accordingly.

Payment is processed by Stripe at checkout. We do not see or store your card details. By submitting a payment you authorise Stripe to charge the agreed amount to your nominated card.

We aim to deliver every report within 24 hours of payment confirmation. If for any reason we cannot meet that timeline (illness, technical issue, unusually high volume) we will email you and offer a revised delivery time or a full refund.

Reports are sent by email as a self-contained HTML file together with separate PDF and Word versions of the master and targeted CVs.

If you are not satisfied with your report for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the report being delivered to you. To request a refund, email michael.muir@buysiderec.com with a brief reason (we read all feedback). Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within five working days.

This 14-day window is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

We deliver our work with the care and skill you would expect of a senior practitioner, drawing on 20 years of buy-side recruitment experience and direct sight of how hiring decisions are made.

We do not guarantee that buying a report will result in any particular outcome (a job offer, an interview, a promotion, a salary increase). The job market depends on many factors outside any single document or service. Our work is professional guidance, not a guarantee.

You agree that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• The CV and information you give us is yours and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You will read the rewritten CVs in full before sending them anywhere, and check every fact, date, role, figure, and claim for accuracy. Reports are produced manually with AI as a drafting tool and reviewed before delivery, but you remain the source of truth on your own career. Any errors or misinterpretations must be corrected before you submit either CV to a recruiter, employer, or any other third party.
• You will not distribute the report beyond your own personal use.

You own your CV and your underlying career data. We make no claim to it.

We own the analytical framework, methodology, language patterns, and presentation that make up the CV Intelligence Report format. The report we deliver is for your personal use. You can share it with people advising you on your career (a coach, a mentor, a partner) but you cannot resell it, repackage it, or distribute it commercially.

The two CVs we produce for you are yours to use, edit, and submit for jobs. We grant you a perpetual, royalty-free licence to do whatever you want with them in the context of your own job search.

We accept liability for losses you suffer as a direct result of our negligence, fraud, or breach of these terms. We do not accept liability for losses that are not a foreseeable consequence of using our service, including loss of opportunity, loss of earnings, or any consequential or indirect loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You can stop using the service at any time. We may refuse or terminate service if you act in bad faith, breach these terms, or use the service in a way that damages our reputation.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page. For changes that affect existing customers we will email you in advance.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
